If you have been diagnosed with breast cancer, you know your life has suddenly changed.  You will have many choices to make regarding diagnosis and treatment, and much information to review.  Many doctors from all the different specialties that provide care for breast cancer patients will assist you, including radiologists, medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, plastic surgeons, and even geneticists.  You might discuss your care with many women who have been treated for breast cancer (and find their own stories both informing and inspirational) but you wll quickly realize that breast cancer, and breast cancer treatment, is not a simple disease with simple options:  each patient has to make choices which apply to her particular circumstances.  The choices that others have made, even with similiar types of cancer, may not at all be appropriate for you.
